The Director-General of the Environmental Protection Agency, Laura Burke, has said that any further plans to expand Irish dairy herds are unsustainable and that agriculture can’t keep ‘talking the environmental talk’ while ramping up production. Should we reduce licensing thresholds for dairy farms? To discuss I’m joined by Tim Cullinan, President of the IFA, and Dr Elaine McGoff, Natural Environment Officer at An Taisce.
