The trial of a man accused of murdering one man and attempting to murder two others at Bray Boxing Club has collapsed.

The jury was discharged this morning after one of them fell seriously ill.

34-year-old Gerard Cervi was accused of the murder of Bobby Messet on June 5th 2018.

He was also accused of the attempted murder of boxing trainer Peter Taylor and Ian Britton.

Mr Cervi with no fixed address but originally from the East Wall area of Dublin has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

The case has been listed for mention again next month.
