Everton have been given a tough return to European football.
Roberto Martinez's side have been drawn with French club Lille, German side Wolfsburg and Kuban Krasnodar of Russia in Group H of the Europa League.
Tottenham will have to face Besiktas of Turkey, who north London rivals Arsenal sneaked past in their Champions League play-off.
Serbian team Partizan and Greek outfit Asteras make up Group C.
Celtic's task looks slightly easier on paper as they have Austrian side Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia and Romanian club Astra Giurgiu to play in Group D.
