It’s all eyes on the Champion Chase today at the Cheltenham Festival and Ladbrokes' Hayley O'Connor reckons a spectacular contest is on the cards.

But will former winner Sprinter Sacre make a triumphant return to the Cotswolds?

"We can expect a spectacular race because [Sprinter Sacre] is on a massive comeback mission," Hayley told Ivan and Newstalk Breakfast this morning.

"He's probably one of the most flamboyant, exciting chasers I've ever seen over two miles. The big question is whether physically he's going to be okay today.

"Sire De Grugy, he's defending his crown. Champagne Fever, again owned by Rich Richie, trained by Willie Mullins, he was brilliant at Gowran last time.

"It has the makings for a really exciting contest."

Yesterday, the bookies went home smiling yesterday as Annie Power’s little tumble denied Ruby Walsh a clean sweep at Cheltenham on Day 1. "It don't think I've experienced an atmosphere like it," admitted Hayley.

Ivan also revealed his selection for the Newstalk Breakfast Ladbrokes charity bet, putting down €250 to win at 2/1
