Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were in ominous form this afternoon, further enhancing their reputation as possibly the best striking duo in the league. grabbing goal each in a 3-1 win for Liverpool over Crystal Palace. It was 2-0 to the home side after just seventeen minutes and Steven Gerrard had added a third from the spot by thirty eight minutes.

Palace got one back through a Dwight Gayle on seventy seven minutes but it was a routine second half for Liverpool as they eased to their fifth Premier League win of the season and moved back to the top of the table.

Newcastle took 3 points from their trip to Wales, beating Cardiff City 2-1. Loic Remy was the hero for the visitors, getting both goals, while Odemwinge was the scorer for Cardiff.

Fulham won 1-0 against Stoke, with Darren Bent scoring a goal in the last ten minutes to take all three points for the home side.

The fourth tie of the three o’clock kick offs, between Aston Villa and Hull City, finished in a 0-0 draw.

Mancehster City were 3-1 winners of the days early game, against Everton. Manchester United travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland at 5.30.
