It would have been perfectly understandable if Legia Warsaw fans found themselves watching Celtic's Champions League qualifier defeat to Maribor on Tuesday in horror.
Not because they would have any sympathy, mind you. But more so because the Polish would have felt that they should have been the ones having a shot at Maribor.
Of course, Legia had to settle for the Europa League after UEFA punished them for fielding an ineligible player against Celtic, despite coming away with a 6 - 1 aggregate win that would have put them within one step of Europe's elite club competition.
