London Olympian Adam Nolan scored a hugely impressive victory in the welterweight final at the National Elite Boxing Championships in Dublin.

The Bray fighter won by a unanimous decision against fellow Olympian John Joe Joyce.

Meanwhile, fellow London Olympian Darren O'Neill justified his decision to move up to heavyweight as he won his fifth national title by a split decision.

In the middleweight decider, Michael O’Reilly from Portlaoise also claimed an impressive win over Stephen Broadhurst.

Earlier, there were also unanimous wins for Brendan Irvine and Kurt Walker over Hughie Myers and Sean Higginson respectively.

In the fight of the night, Dean Walsh retained his light-welterweight title on a split decision after he recovered from a slow start to get the better of former European champion Ray Moylette in a thrilling contest.
