Rory McIlroy hit a disappointing 72 today at the the HSBC Champions Event in Shanghai to finish the day tied for second place on 7 under par.
The Northern Irishman held a two-shot lead going into Day 2 and started the day with five straight pars and three birdies.
But a poor back 9 let him down, as he finished the round 5 shots off the lead, tied for second with Bubba Watson and Boo Weekley.
