Manchester United's poor start to the season has continued.

They have been held to a nil-all draw by Burnley at Turf Moor.

United were boosted by the addition of new British record signing Angel di Maria to their starting team.

But he couldn't provide the spark the Reds needed to break down the Burnley defence, with the home side also having some chances of their own to win the game.

The draw means Louis van Gaal is still winless in competitive games since he took over at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman says he was disappointed with their first half performance in particular.

There was, however, a big boost for United before the game, with the news that they've agreed a fee with Dutch side Ajax for defender Daley Blind .

The Netherlands international's move is subject to the player completing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
