Novak Djokovic has reached his 23rd consecutive Grand Slam tennis quarter-final.

The Serb is into the last eight of the Australian Open after beating Luxembourg's Gilles Muller in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, 7-5 . 

Seven-time major winner Venus Williams is through to her first Grand Slam quarter-final since 2010 following her three-set win over Agnieszka Radwanska.

There were also victories for Williams' sister, Serena, defending men's champion Stan Wawrinka, and Kei Nishikori.
