Can Arsenal and Liverpool last the distance in the Premier League title race this season?
Neither side has been this close to the top for quite some time and thus this game takes on a very important character.
John Giles was on Off The Ball last night for Thursday Night Football and he assessed both teams' chances - both in Saturday's game and the season at large.
"Well I think they are contenders. They have both made pretty good starts to the season. With Suarez coming back into the team for Liverpool, they've got a real goalscoring player there that they didn't have last year. I would say Chelsea and Man City would be favourites before them. But both teams will be in with a chance," said Giles.
He believes both the Gunners and the Reds have weaknesses, despite improving vastly.
"I think [Liverpool manager] Brendan Rodgers has made progress. Last year he talked too much but this year he has calmed down a bit. He's let the players do the talking for him. They've a bit to go. I think the weakness is at the back and midfield as well. I thought Joe Allen would be back in the midfield this year because he is a creative player. But I think Rodgers has made good buys even though he doesn't have a lot of money to spend."
As for Arsenal, the backline and strength in depth up front are the main problems.
"I think Wenger has the best group of midfield players in the Premier League by a long way. Again, it's whether they are good enough at the back, which I wouldn't be sure about. I think they will be genuine contenders for the Premier League. Giroud is scoring goals up front but if he gets injured, they're in real trouble because Bendtner played the other night and didn't kick a ball. He was hopeless. So they have no cover really. They'll win an awful lot of matches but I think they will fall short in the race for the Premier League."
Giles also touched on Joe Hart's problems and whether being dropped may be a blessing in disguise even in a World Cup year.
He also believes David Luiz will not win back his place at Chelsea, although he thinks Juan Mata will.
