Shelbourne Hotel Removes Statues Which Have Stood Outside Hotel For Past 153 Years

Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel has removed four statues which have stood outside the hotel for the past 153 years.  The hotel says the statues have been removed ‘in light of recent world events’ and the statues association with slavery.  For reaction we were joined by Frank McDonald, Former Environment editor with the Irish Times.
