The number of security officers on the Luas has been increased by 30%. It's after Transport Infrastructure Ireland found that women have serious concerns about using public transport, in its survey 'Travelling in a Woman's Shoes'. The report shows 55% of women would not use public transport at night, and 34% have avoided travelling altogether because of safety worries.
