The Traitors Ireland contest Vanessa said contestants “always kind of suspected” Nick would be a Traitor.
The series finale was broadcast yesterday, after 12 nights of intrigue and plotting in Slane Castle.
24 contestants took part, all of whom were asked to suss out which of their fellow contestants are considered to be Faithful and who are Traitors.
Last night, it was finally revealed that Nick and Ben were the final Traitors in the castle.
Kelley, Vanessa and Oyin were named as the winner, having outlasted all other contestants.
On Lunchtime Live, Vanessa described it as a “class” experience and “amazing” to be the winner of the show.
“Honestly, I had nothing left,” she said.
“Oyin really carried me the last two days, the last day.
“But Oyin said she wanted to win, I was there for the craic.
“So, making it that far and knowing I had a target on my back; I’d been voted [on] a couple of times, I’d been under fire and that was the second last day I came in so cheerful.
“Because I knew one of my friends was a traitor; there’s no other reason why I shouldn’t have been murdered earlier.”

Also on the show, contestant Ben said he is “delighted with the outcome”.
“Obviously, I would loved for me and Nick to win but the three girls, I’m delighted for them,” he said.
“So yeah, really happy.”

He added that he decided to go on the programme because “there’s nothing like it”.
“Traitors is just something completely different,” he said.
“The whole aspect of lying and trying to catch people at the same time as well, as of that combined.
“I just think it makes an absolute mental gameshow.”
Vanessa added that she “always wanted to be on TV”.
“I love chatting, so for me, I do think the Traitors was best suited for my personality,” she said.
“There is no type of reality TV show that I think I would have enjoyed doing as much.”
On why contestants took so long for contestants to correctly decide that Nick was a Traitor, Vanessa said that “you have to have a reason for going for someone”.
“I think when we were turning over the different questions that we had and the different theories that we had, we always kind of suspected,” she said.
“It just made the most sense but we didn’t have enough to do anything until everything else was cleared.
“That’s why it’s quite intense at the end.”
