The Director of Public Prosecutions has directed Richard Satchwell to stand trial at the Central Criminal Court for the murder of his wife Tina.

The 57-year-old of Grattan Street, Youghal, Cork, appeared before Clonmel District Court in Tipperary today via videolink.

Judge Brian O’Shea told Richard Satchwell that the State will be given time to serve a book of evidence on him and his legal representatives and asked if he would consent to a remand of four weeks for the book to be prepared.
