A young boy not seen for years is “presumed dead”, Gardaí have said.
The child, who has not yet been named, is last known to have lived at the Gallery Apartments, Donabate, County Dublin.
If alive, he would now be seven years old.

Concerns that he had not been seen for some time were reported to the Child and Family Agency (Tusla), who contacted Gardaí with their concerns on Friday 29th August.

An area of open ground has been cordoned off by Gardaí in Donabate, which will be searched over the coming days.
On Newstalk Breakfast, reporter Stephanie Rohan, who is in Donabate, said many have compared the child’s disappearance to that of Kyran Durnin.
“When this news broke last evening, I know a lot of people were confused,” she said.
“They thought this was the Kyran Durnin case and this is a completely separate and different case.
“Kyran Durnin, that case absolutely stunned the nation; he was a young boy who would be nine now and went missing in County Louth.”

At the time, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris described it as “extraordinary” that a little boy could just vanish and nobody had a clue where he was.
Stephanie added that the similarities between the two cases are “striking and upsetting”.
