Two separate investigations are underway after a Dublin Bus was stolen and crashed in the city.

A bus was stolen from the Harristown Bus Depot on Sunday afternoon at 4.30pm.

The same vehicle was later involved in a collision near Liffey Valley.

However Gardaí say nobody was injured.

Officers say a teenage boy 'attended a Garda station in relation to this incident.'

He will be referred to the Juvenile Liaison Officer programme.

Gardaí are investigating the incident, while Dublin Bus is also carrying out an internal investigation.

Dublin Bus say the vehicle was out of service at the time and no passengers were on-board.

"The matter is under investigation by An Garda Síochána and Dublin Bus has also commenced an internal investigation", it adds.
