After three weeks of intensive campaigning by parties and independents, polls in the general election open at 7am on Saturday morning.

With the broadcast moratorium coming into force from 2pm today, candidates will no longer have the opportunity to make their case on the airwaves.

The major parties have spent the last few weeks launching their policies and manifestos.

However, a poll earlier this week suggested nearly one in three voters had yet to decide how they will vote.

Need some help with deciding? Here's what the seven major parties are promising, with more details available through the links below:

Fianna Fáil's manifesto commits to a four-to-one ratio of spending increases vs tax cuts.

Housing promises include an SSIA savings scheme, a large affordable rental housing scheme and retaining the help-to-buy scheme.

The party is also promising childcare subsidies and a new rural crime bureau.

Sinn Féin promises tax cuts and committee to examine United Ireland in GE2020 manifesto

Sinn Féin has promised billions of euro of tax cuts and a committee to examine a United Ireland in its election manifesto.

The party wants to scrap the USC on the first €30,000 someone earns, to get rid of the property tax and end fees for third-level education.

It says it will raise the money needed through extra tax on banks, multinationals and those earning more than €100,000 a year.

Fine Gael pledges fairer taxes, health reform as part of GE2020 manifesto

Fine Gael has promised to raise the point at which people pay the higher rate of tax to €50,000.

Free GP care for under-18s, a transitional payment for older people until they reach pension are and the recruitment of 700 Gardaí a year over the next five years also feature.

On health, the party says it will increase to current health funding of €5bn and recruit 5,000 nurses over the next five years.

Green Party commits to retrofit homes and free public transport in GE2020 manifesto

The Green Party has committed to spending €50bn on retrofitting homes over the next 20 years.

The party says it would also look at replacing the social welfare system with a non-means-tested Universal Basic Income if in government.

It will also merge the contributory and non-contributory State pensions and create a tax credit for part-time workers.

Labour pledges rent freeze and more homes in GE2020 manifesto

In their manifesto, the Labour Party promises a rent freeze and 80,000 social and affordable homes between now and 2025.

On health, Labour has pledged to end the "de facto HSE recruitment embargo" and the over-reliance on agency staff.

It would also extend free-of-charge GP care to all under-18s, and to everyone with a long-term illness or disability.

Social Democrats outline plans for Irish National Health Service

The Social Democrats have broken ranks with the major political parties - by proposing to keep the Universal Social Charge.

The party says the charge brings in around €4 billion a year, which goes towards valuable public services.

While the major parties hope to scrap the charge for all or most workers, the Social Democrats instead want to retain it fund services such as an Irish National Health Service.

Solidarity-PBP pledges free public transport for all in climate manifesto

Solidarity - People Before Profit says they would introduce free public transport for all if they get into government.
