Seven new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Ireland

Seven new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Ireland.

Four are travel-related from northern Italy, and are men from the east of the country.

Two women in the west are associated with close contact with another confirmed case.

While there is one case of community transmission, a man from the south of the country, at Cork University Hospital.

Elizabeth Warren drops out of US presidential race

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has dropped out of the Democratic race for US president.

In a statement on Thursday, she said: "I'm suspending our campaign for president."

In a call with campaign staff she added: "I know how hard all of you have worked. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you have poured into this campaign.

Police in the US state of Nevada are investigating after the bodies of four people were found in a house there.

One of them is an Irish woman.

Reno Police Officers responded to a house on Wednesday morning after reports of a body being found.

Britain's Prince William, Kate take in Galway on final day of royal tour

Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton were greeted by cheering crowds in Galway city, on the final day of their visit here.

The royal couple have taken in a trad session and even tried their hand at Gaelic football.
