Fine Gael to carry out 'internal review' into civil case taken by Maria Bailey

Fine Gael is undertaking an internal review into a civil case taken by Dún Laoghaire TD Maria Bailey.

An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar met with Deputy Bailey earlier on Wednesday.

In a statement following the meeting, the party said: "In relation to a civil case which Deputy Bailey is withdrawing from the courts, Fine Gael is undertaking an internal review to establish all facts."

Three remaining MEP seats in Midlands North West are filled

All MEP seats in the Midlands North West constituency have been filled.

Fine Gael's Mairead McGuinness was already elected at the weekend, topping the poll on the first count.

Independent Luke 'Ming' Flanagan was elected on Wednesday evening on 121,824 votes.

A copybook seized from the home of one of two boys accused of murdering Ana Kriegel contained a satanic pledge and drawing, the trial has heard.

The two 14-year-old boys have pleaded not guilty to murdering the Kildare schoolgirl at a derelict farmhouse in Dublin last May.

Yesterday, the jurors watched the eighth and final Garda interview with Boy B – who is accused of luring Ana Kriegel to her death.

Famous Guinness gates go rainbow for LGBT+ Union Cup

The famous Guinness gates in Dublin city are getting a makeover.

They are going rainbow-coloured to mark the company's involvement with the 2019 Union Cup - Europe's biggest LGBT+ inclusive rugby tournament.

The game is coming to Dublin for the first time in June at the DCU campus.
