Dáil Éireann was suspended this afternoon after Minister Patrick O’Donovan fell ill in the chamber. 

The Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure was answering topical questions when he appeared to develop difficulty speaking. 

Ceann Comhairle Seán Ó Fearghaíl suspended the Dáil and medical treatment was sought.
