Every Thursday on the Tom Dunne Show we're joined by Oisin Davis of The Damson Diner who creates his version of a classic movie cocktail, and George Byrne who reviews the biggest movies of the week.

This week we used a Tarantino classic for inspiration.  The feisty lead lady's poison of choice is the 'Screwdriver' so Oisin will put be putting his own spin on this cocktail standard.

Ingredients

50 ml of Absolut Vodka

100 ml of freshly squeezed Mandarin Juice

100g of sugar

1 teaspoon of lime sherbet

2 drops of grapefruit tincture

10 ml of lemon juice

Method

To make the lime sherbet, place the zest and juice of 3 limes into 100g of sugar, stir and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then mix 35 ml of the vodka into it and strain.

To make the grapefruit tincture, take the peel of 3 grapefruit and place them in a small jar filled with vodka. Leave with the lid on for a week and shake it once a day.

Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Put the lid on and shake for 10 seconds.

Strain into an iced long glass.
