It may be only August, but at one point last night it looked like we may have a shock in European competition that would be hard topped for the rest of the season. Norwegian side Odds Ballklubb were leading 3-0 at home to Borussia Dortmund inside 22 minutes.

The Norwegian side took the lead inside 20 seconds through Jone Samuelsen as Dortmund looked to continue their good form from the opening weekend of the Bundesliga.

Thomas Tuchel's side were somehow 3-0 down inside the first 22 minutes and looked on course for an embarrassing European exit. The goal from Espen Ruud would have graced any game.

Dortmund needed to stop the flow and scored before half time and scored after a well worked build up led to a mistake from the Odd goalkeeper led to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's opening goal.

The German Cup winners dominated the second half and eventually equalised through Aubameyang but had to wait until the 84th minute to score the winner from midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The official Dortmund twitter account even borrowed a phrase from Alex Ferguson after their side won the game.

After the win in Norway, Dortmund will now be expected to win at home and qualify for the group stages of the Europa League.
