France were made to work for their bonus point last night as they took on Canada, eventually triumphing by a score of 41-18.

Things were considerably closer than that at the break though, as France went in 24-12 up and needed to put in a better performance in the second half to stop a resolute Canadian side from putting extra pressure on them.

Two tries after the break meant that they got the breathing space they needed, but while the game was still in touch in the first half, Canada's Jamie Cudmore tried to gain an advantage in the sneakiest way possible...by sticking his head into the French huddle.

Unsurprisingly, he was not very welcome, and the French players gave his little stunt short shrift, but he might have twigged a word or two in French before he was kicked out.
