Ahead of his side's game against Aston Villa this weekend, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers faced the media, and there was one burning question that everyone wanted to ask.

The man from Carnlough has been under a lot of pressure, in particular after his team needed penalties to get past League 2 outfit Carlisle in the League Cup midweek, and there has been a lot of talk that he's been given a few games to save his career.

The two names in the frame that could be brought in to take over from him are Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti, both of whom are successful managers who are currently without a team, but Rodgers appeared to be cool and calm when asked about the possibility of either of those coaches circling around his head.

Speaking to the media, he said "as a manger of a club of this size, there's always going to be speculation about your job [...] since I've been here there's been over 10 managers linked with the job".

He added "I know that you need to get results and the expectations of a club like this are huge, but I embrace that challenge, and I enjoy the pressure of that".

As he closed, he highlighted that he wasn't overly worried about the possibility, and that if he can get three points on the weekend, they're back in the race for the top four.
