When we think of the great rivalries that Formula 1 has witnessed down through the years, Ayrton Senna's often acrimonious battle with Alain Prost in the late '80s and early '90s always wins out. 

But on this week's Inside F1 podcast, Annie Kane and I picked out two other rivalries that deserve recognition.

In Annie's case it was the 1976 head-to-head between former flatmates Nikki Lauda and James Hunt which is encapsulated in the film Rush.

For me, it was Michael Schumacher's fascinating showdown with Mika Hakkinen in the 1998 and 2000 seasons, as the two pushed each other to the limit, while managing to maintain a healthy respect matching the one which existed between Lauda and Hunt.
