Ireland right back Seamus Coleman was impressed by David Meyler's performance in his position last night.

With Coleman rested ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifier against Georgia, the Hull City midfielder stepped into the breach and ended up winning the Man of the Match award against Oman in an unfamiliar position.

Coleman described the performance as "brilliant":

Midfielder James McCarthy is enjoying being able to play with a core of Everton team-mates at international level.

The former Wigan man is joined in the squad by fellow Toffees like Coleman, Aiden McGeady and Darron Gibson, while Shane Duffy was a team-mate until his recent move to Blackburn Rovers.
