England continue their World Cup rivalry with Australia this weekend at the two teams square off in their Pool A game in Twickenham. 

While most fans remember England's 2003 win over Australia in the World Cup final, their last match actually happened four years later in the 2007 quarter final. Against all the pre match predictions, England won the match 12-10.

Four penalties from Jonny Wilkinson were enough to win the game for England. The only try in the Marseille clash came from Australia's Lote Tuquiri. 

England won the game thanks to their pack which dominated Australia at scrum time. A BBC Sport report after the game stated; "England's front row of Andrew Sheridan, Mark Regan and Phil Vickery pulverised Australia at the scrum and laid the platform for the back-row trio of Lewis Moody, Martin Corry and Nick Easter to nullify George Smith at the breakdown."

It was a day to savour for the forwards and a scrummaging performance that is still remembered fondly by England fans. The reigning World Champions went on to reach the final where they lost to South Africa.
