John Terry's omission from the PFA Player of the Year shortlist is hard to fathom according to Phil Thompson.
The Liverpool legend was speaking on Newstalk Breakfast this morning to Ivan Yates about the weekends Premier League games, including Chelsea's scoreless draw with Arsenal yesterday.
Terry was named on the PFA Team of the Year for the fourth time in his career last night but many were surprised the former England captain was not in contention for the Player of the Year award which was won by his teammate Eden Hazard.
Thompson stated that Terry was the best defender of the season but felt he may have not been on the shortlist because he was a central defender. He called the omission "absolutely outrageous".
The European Cup winner also speaks to Ivan about the Liverpool futures of Mario Balotelli and Brendan Rodgers, Jurgen Klopp's next managerial destination, Manchester United's performance at Goodison Park and the state of this seasons Premier League.
