Hibernian have confirmed that manager Pat Fenlon has been sacked.
The Irish manager had been in charge of Hibs since 2011, leading the Edinburgh side to the Scottish Cup final in consecutive seasons, losing both.
Hibs lost a Scottish League Cup quarter-final to city rivals Hearts on Wednesday, piling pressure on former Shelbourne and Bohemians manager Fenlon who had seen his team humiliated 9 - 0 on aggregate at the hands of Malmo in the Europa League qualifiers.
The defeat to Hearts led to a protest by a group of Hibs fans.
