The sacking of Brendan Rodgers and resignation of Dick Advocaat yesterday continues to show the outstanding longevity of Arsene Wenger's reign at Arsenal.
The Frenchman took the job in September 1996 and is now in his twentieth year in North London. Nick Harris from SportingIntelligence last night published statistics that shows how Wenger has survived in what is becoming a cut throat business.

Up until yesterday, Brendan Rodgers was the second longest serving manager in the league. Bournemouth's Eddie Howe is now in that position. He only rejoined the club in October 2012 after a previous spell at the club over a year and half previously.
A frightening statistic for Premier League managers is that currently half of the clubs have a manager that has been in the position for less than a year.
Once Arsene Wenger leaves his position at Arsenal manager, the career of a top flight manager will change for good. Wenger and Alex Ferguson were surely the last of their type.
