Dublin's Michael Darragh MacAuley has hung up the blue jersey, calling it a day after over a decade at the top of senior inter county football.

The Ballyboden St Enda's club man posted a simple message on his Twitter page this morning, which read: 'Sin é uaimse. Míle buíochas ó chroí.

The midfielder won 8 All Ireland senior medals, 10 Leinster titles, 5 National Leagues and two All-Stars.
