In Ireland and England we are used to top flight games taking place in the mid afternoons or evenings. A staple of the Dutch footballing calendar is the early afternoon game on a Sunday in their top tier.

Feyenoord played Zwolle yesterday afternoon in an Eredivisie clash that kicked off at 12.30pm local time with the sun shining brightly in the Rotterdam sky.

The sun shone so bright throughout the first half that Zwolle midfielder Wout Brama looked scared of the football as it exited the sky. The Dutch international lost the flight of the ball in the sky from a Mickey van der Hart kick out, resulting in him moving out of the way of the ball at the last second.

While you have to feel sorry for how bad it looked for Brama, it's very amusing. Feyenoord won the game 2-0.
