Gareth Maybin is four shots further back on 4 under through 13, with Michael Hoey on 3 under after 16 holes.

Peter Lawrie is on 2 under through 13, while teenage amateur Gavin Moynihan and Padraig Harrington both tee off later, also from 2 under par.

Shane Lowry is on level par through 15, while Cian McNamara and John Kelly also tee off later from level par.

Overnight leader Mikko Ilonen gets underway after 1pm from 7 under, while Rory McIlroy tees off just before 1pm from three over.
