John joined Ger on tonight's Off The Ball and after Arsenal's defeat to Olympiacos on Tuesday night, he gave his thoughts on the performance.

"If I was Wenger, I would have got really ratty not at the journalists, but his team" he explained.

"In particular, Mesut Ozil. Absolutely disgraceful performance last night, totally dishonest.

"Instead of making a genuine effort to win the ball back, he was giving silly freekicks away. That's always a sign of a player who doesn't want to make the real effort. Give the freekick away and it's easy.

"He hasn't done anything for Arsenal anyway and I don't think they'll do anything as long as he's in the team."

He also went on to echo the sentiments about Wenger's choice of goalkeeper and criticised not using Petr Cech in a game as big as that.

"I was surprised at him starting David Ospina considering the difficulty he had against Dinamo Zagreb. It totally backfired on Wenger."
