BBC series The Fall is set return for a third series, finally revealing the fate of the serial killer played by Jamie Dornan.
The second instalment of the Belfast-based drama was a huge hit with viewers as it ended on a cliffhanger, with Dornan’s Paul Spector lying shot in the arms of detective Stella Gibson, played by Gillian Anderson.
The upcoming run will consist of five episodes will be the last and is set to air next year.
The show's writer and director Allan Cubitt said of the last series: “The cliffhanger ending of season two was conceived in the hope of further exploring the characters and the themes that are at the heart of The Fall.”
