Since moving to Nice last summer, former Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has impressed for the Ligue 1 side.
Nice are the surprise leaders in the French top-flight and Balotelli has helped the team exceed expectations this season. The Italian striker has scored ten goals in all competitions this season.
The 26-year-old has been racially abused throughout his career, most notably in Italy, where he has reacted admirably to the vile taunts. On Friday night, in the 1-1 draw away to Bastia, Balotelli claims to have suffered monkey chats in the game.
"Is it normal that Bastia supporters make monkey noise end "uh uh" for the whole game and no one of the "commissions discipline " say nothing?", Balotellti asked on Instagram, with an accompanying solid black picture. "So is racism LEGAL in France? Or only in Bastia? Football is an amazing sport .. those people like Bastia supporters make it horrible!"
No official comment has yet been made from Ligue 1 officials over the incident.
