One of the standout images from the weekend's Allianz League clash between Dublin and Tyrone was the sight of pretty much the entire Tyrone team packed deep into their own '45 in one instance.

Our own Colm 'Wooly' Parkinson  addressed that on tonight's Off The Ball within the wider trends in Gaelic football at present.

"I'm concerned about the way Gaelic football is going. Now, good defending is getting three men swarming around one man. It's not being taught how to dispossess a man or tackle him properly, how to stay with your man, how to get in front - all these things that I was taught when I was growing up," said Wooly, who added that the rules are more of an issue than the philosophy of Tyrone manager Micky Harte.

"Why allow a team to bring so many players back? Why not have a simple rule that your full-forward line and your full-back line can't come outside the 45 metre line? Why can't there be three scoring forwards who can't come outside [the opposition '45]. At least it's some sort of help because if it's getting to a stage where there's no Tyrone players in the Dublin half of the field, I don't want to watch Gaelic football."
