One of the worst kept secrets in Irish sport was finally revealed today as Leinster confirmed Leo Cullen as head coach.

Ex-Leinster second row Trevor Hogan and The Irish Times' rugby correspondent Gerry Thornley reacted to the news on Off The Ball tonight and Trevor was full of praise for Cullen's oratory skills when the former captain was a player.

"When he speaks, you may be really nervous beforehand going into a match, but when Leo talks it's like everything becomes so clear and calm. He'd focus on something you'd have to do in the first few minutes and I remember just really being so relaxed when I heard him talk. I looked forward to whenever he was going to speak and I'm sure every other player had that kind of feeling," he said, adding that he was "like a coach before he became a coach".

Trevor and Gerry also reflected on the questions from the Ireland warm-up games and also commented on Ian Madigan's thoughts on the scrutiny placed on the player's game-management.
