On Off The Ball last week, ahead of the game against France, Colm Parkinson took his usual position, that of devil's advocate.
He claimed that there was no way that Ireland would be able to up their game and beat France on Sunday, while Cian Murtagh took the opposite stance.
Wooly asked him to put his money where his mouth was and made a €50 bet with him that Ireland would lose, and on Monday night's news round, the chickens came home to roost for him as Cian awaited his payment in novelty cheque format, and Sports Broadcaster of the Year Joe Molloy labelled him a "scumbag" for betting against the country.
There was further controversy however, when Cian Murtagh claimed that he'd be keeping the money for himself, and it sounds like he's not for turning on that matter either.
