West Ham have signed Scotland winger Robert Snodgrass from Hull on a deal that will run for three and a half years.

He has joined the East London club for a fee of just over £10-million (€11.7 million).

Snodgrass has scored nine goals in all competitions so far this season (seven in the league) and has been the leading light for a Hull City side battling against relegation from the Premier League both as a set piece threat and chance creator.

On top of his goals, he has laid on four assists for team-mates.

Reacting to his West Ham move, Snodgrass told the club's official website: "This is the sort of Club which speaks for itself, the fans who come here and support week-in week-out and moving to and selling out this new stadium is terrific and I want to be part of it."

With Dimitri Payet no longer an option at present as he seeks a move away from England, Snodgrass' addition is a boost for West Ham.

Since Slaven Bilic stated that Payet "does not want to play for us" at a press conference on January 12th, West Ham have embarked on a run that has pushed them into the Premier League's Top 10.

They have beaten Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough in the league since then to move up to  10th place after a poor start to the season in their first campaign at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have also signed centre back Jose Fonte from Southampton during the January transfer window.
