Tim Vickery has questioned whether Neymar's more central role for Brazil this summer is working.

The BBC South American football expert joined us on the line and spoke to us about the tactical surprise Big Phil Scolari played by putting the Barcelona man in a more central role rather than the advanced left position he has tended to occupy.

"When he plays high left, one of the things he does very well is cut in with the ball. Then he'll look for the centre-forward Fred and he'll exchange passes. With Neymar in a more central role, that's not really happened. I think they've lost that. It also might be interfering with the space of Paulinho," said Tim.

Scolari also faced a hostile media for the first time in over a year after the Mexico draw according to Tim, and the former Chelsea manager stormed out of the press conference.

Tim believes Scolari will use it to draw his players together and breed confidence.

Tim also spoke about the spectre of protests which have been less apparent than people expected.
