Ahead of Ireland's clash with Italy on Sunday, Eddie O'Sullivan joined Ger on Friday's Off The Ball to discuss the team selection and the absence of Luke Fitzgerald from the starting line-up.

"When you look at the back three, Simon Zebo had to go to full back, but the two wings Tommy Bowe and Dave Kearney. Tommy Bowe played really well the last day and Kearney is certainly on form" he said.

"You could argue that [Keith] Earls, Kearney, Zebo and Bowe are all on top of their game, but it might be a bit unlucky on Luke Fitzgerald."

When asked about what each player brings to the team, O'Sullivan found it different to separate the pair.

"There's not an awful lot of difference between Earls and Fitzgerald at outside centre" he explained.

"Both have had a lot of injuries and would be inexperienced outside centres, but with the skills that they have they offer a lot in attack.

"They both might struggle with the defensive aspects and the outside centre berth is one of the toughest positions on the field defensively."
