FIFA have announced that the 2022 World Cup will be held over just 28 days.

The tournament in Qatar will start on November 21st, with the final taking place on December 18th.

It means that the Premier League is likely to retain its traditional St Stephens Day fixtures.

In addition, clubs will only have to release their players to their national teams just a week before the opening match.
