Former Team Sky doctor Geert Leinders has been handed a lifetime ban from cycling for multiple doping violations.
The US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has found that the Belgian possessed, trafficked, and administered banned performance-enhancing substances while working as the chief doctor and director with the Rabobank team between 1996 and 2009.
Leinders worked for Team Sky on a freelance basis between 2011 and 2012 but team principal Dave Brailsford has since said that the appointment was a mistake.
