Fermanagh pulled off one of the shocks of the Championship so far with a last-gasp win over Monaghan at Healy Park on Sunday.

Rory Gallagher's men ran out 1-8 to 0-10 winners and have the chance to win their first ever provincial title.

Speaking to Shannonside Fm's Kevin McDermott after the game, match-winner Eoin Donnelly said: "I haven't scored too many but I'll do well to better that one but it was great to be there - we clung in there and thankfully the goal made the difference in the end.

"We were close enough - we didn't play well in the second half. We didn't get scores for the  team but we didn't concede too many so that was the main thing and that kept us within the kick of a ball and thankfully we got it and were on the right end of it.

"We certainly didn't plan to be two points behind in injury time but look, we knew we could try and limit them to a score we thought we could get over. We maybe didn't score as much as we'd like but we're just delighted!

"It's no more than the boys deserved -  a great work ethic! We worked hard there and we didn't look like conceding too many there. They were in for a few chances in the first half and we rode our luck a couple of times but I suppose you need a rub of the green!" he added.
