Ruby Walsh has been denied a fourth win of day one at the Cheltenham Festival in dramatic circumstances.

Odds on favourite Annie Power fell at the last fence of the Mares' Hurdle, which was won by Glens Melody.

Mullins was still the winning trainer though as Glens Melody is a stablemate of Annie Power took up the running to take victory from "Polly Peachum" and "Bitofapuzzle".

But, with most Irish punters banking on all four of the favourites coming-home in an accumulator, the heavy tumble by Annie Power proved to be a costly fall.

Walsh earlier triumphed in the featured race, the Champion Hurdle, where he was onboard Faugheen.
