Ex-Kerry great Dara O'Cinneide believes patience will be key for the county when they come up against the challenge of Tyrone in this afternoon's All-Ireland football semi-final.

The former forward was on Off The Ball alongside former Mayo manager James Horan to preview the game and highlighted one key factor.

"The key thing is adaptability, maybe that's something Kerry teams of the past probably didn't have - teams that I was on not being able to think on our feet as much as this current bunch are, playing the game as they see it," he said.

"When Kerry did play Tyrone at the end of the National League this year, there was a lot at stake for both teams and we got an inkling of what kind of game we might have on Sunday which will be a lot faster and a lot more physical and probably better players on the field as well. I would expect Kerry to be able to adapt, that they might be a bit more patient. I hope they won't be forcing the ball, trying to fancy their chances with outside of the boot passes threaded through the eye of the needle. I think Kerry will wait."
