Cardiff Blues says Wales rugby union international Owen Williams has suffered a "significant injury" to his neck.

The centre hurt his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord while playing for his club side in a tournament in Singapore.

His family have flown out to be by his bedside after he needed an operation on Monday to stabilise a fracture.

Arrangements are being put in place to transfer him back to the UK.
