Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to extend his side's current unbeaten domestic run as he looks to eclipse the legendary Lisbon Lions in the process.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: “The players have shown an incredible appetite and desire to go 26 games unbeaten and our main objective for the game is to get three points. We want to keep pushing, keep striving to be the best we can be and it’s another home game for us.

“We love to play at home and the consequence of that could be that they stand alone and stand alone as improving the record, but that will be the consequence of performing well and winning.

“The squad has shown domestically they’ve had a great period now but we want to sustain it. That’s something which is important to us. We know it’ll be a tough game but we’ll be ready.”

The champions are currently 21 points clear of second placed Aberdeen in the league. They welcome Hearts to Celtic Park on Sunday.
